UEM Kolkata unveiled SATYAMEBA, a next-generation high-performance supercomputer peaking at 978 teraflops, integrating NVIDIA GPUs and Intel processors to boost AI and scientific research. The University of Engineering & Management (UEM) Kolkata has proudly inaugurated SATYAMEBA — Supercomputing Architecture for Transformative Yield in AI and Multi-GPU Engine-Based Acceleration. This state-of-the-art High-Performance Computing (HPC) system is designed to revolutionize research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), scientific computing, and advanced data-driven domains.
Achieving a peak performance of 978 TERAFLOPS and sustaining 967 TERAFLOPS, SATYAMEBA is the fastest supercomputer in Kolkata, featuring powerful NVIDIA RTX 5070 GPUs paired with Intel i7/i9 processors and Intel Xeon W9 servers. The system runs on a Fortinet-secured Linux environment with containerized orchestration that supports robust, large-scale AI computations efficiently and securely.
