UltraTech Cement Fires Up 2nd Grinding Mill in MP—Total Capacity Hits 192 MTPA

UltraTech Cement Ltd. has commissioned its second cement grinding mill at the Maihar unit in Madhya Pradesh, adding 1.8 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to its production capacity. This expansion is part of the company’s aggressive brownfield growth strategy and follows the commissioning of the first mill at the same site in March 2025.
 
With this addition, UltraTech’s domestic grey cement capacity now stands at 186.86 MTPA, while its global capacity, including overseas operations, has reached 192.26 MTPA. The move strengthens UltraTech’s position as India’s largest cement producer and supports its long-term infrastructure and housing demand outlook.
 
The company recently reported a Q4 FY25 net profit of ₹2,482 crore, up 10% YoY, on revenue of ₹23,063 crore, reflecting strong operational performance. Shares of UltraTech closed 1.8% higher at ₹11,944.80 on the BSE following the announcement.
