Unity in Action: Kevadia Hosts Zonal Meet to Advance Women and Child Welfare

Kevadia, Gujarat will host a significant Zonal Meeting on 12 July 2025, under the aegis of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, with the aim to promote Centre-State cooperation and push grassroots implementation of flagship welfare schemes. The meeting will be chaired by Union Minister Smt. Annpurna Devi, along with Smt. Savitri Thakur and Smt. Bhanuben Babariya, and ministers of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Goa, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu and senior-level officials.

- Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, and Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0 will be showcased during the session
- Governments will provide examples and new best practices for cross-learning and replication
- Subjects will include digital platforms like Poshan Tracker and advancing technologies like Face Recognition Systems.

- Enhancing integrated service delivery with biometric verification from August 1 under Poshan 2.0
- iGOT Karmayogi e-learning modules rolled out to develop field worker capacity
- Improved grievance redressal and public engagement with re-activated Poshan Helplines.

- The delegates will participate in the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam plantation drive
- Children's Nutrition Park, Statue of Unity, and Narmada Aarti visits are indicative of the culturally conscious strategy of the Ministry
