Uno Minda Ltd has successfully completed the acquisition of intellectual property rights and e-drive business assets from FRIWO Group entities in Germany and Vietnam, marking a pivotal step in its electric mobility roadmap. The transaction, valued at ₹195 crore, includes the full transfer of R&D teams, control hardware, and service software related to electric drive technologies.
The deal also finalizes Uno Minda’s acquisition of the remaining 49.9% stake in UnoMinda EV Systems Pvt Ltd (UMEV), making it a wholly owned subsidiary. The Vietnam-based e-drive asset acquisition is expected to be fully completed by July 15, 2025, further strengthening Uno Minda’s global manufacturing footprint.
