At the Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations held at Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow, Union Home Minister Amit Shah underscored the state’s importance in India’s developmental journey. He described Uttar Pradesh as the “heartbeat and soul of India,” asserting that by 2047, when the country marks its centenary of independence, the state will emerge as the driving force of a fully developed nation.  

Shah credited the BJP government for transforming Uttar Pradesh’s image, contrasting it with earlier administrations that had left the state behind. He pointed to infrastructure growth, industrial expansion, and improved governance as key factors positioning Uttar Pradesh at the forefront of India’s development agenda.
