Vedanta’s Revenue Boom: A New Era of Growth and Profitability

Vedanta Limited, a world leader in natural resources and critical minerals, has announced its highest-ever consolidated revenue for the fourth quarter and financial year ending March 31, 2025. The company achieved an all-time high quarterly revenue of ₹39,789 crore, up 14% year-on-year, due to strong market prices and higher premiums. Quarterly EBITDA reached ₹11,618 crore, up 30% year-on-year, with the EBITDA margin increasing to 35%, the highest in the last 12 quarters. The quarter's profit after tax increased to ₹4,961 crore, a record 118% year-on-year increase.
 
For the whole financial year 2025, Vedanta recorded its highest ever annual consolidated revenue of ₹1,50,725 crore, a 10% increase over the last year. Annual EBITDA was ₹43,541 crore, a 37% year-on-year increase, and annual profit after tax at ₹13,535 crore, a 172% increase.
 
Vedanta also made significant strides in fortifying its balance sheet, lowering net debt by more than ₹3,000 crore to ₹53,251 crore and enhancing its net debt-to-EBITDA ratio to 1.2x. The company credited operational excellence, cost discipline, and favorable market conditions as the main drivers of this record performance.
 
Looking forward, Vedanta's management stated that they were positive about continuing growth and efficiency, with key expansion projects such as the Lanjigarh and Sijimali mines to further improve cost positions and volumes in the next year.
