Vietnamese electric car giant VinFast will begin manufacturing vehicles in its Tamil Nadu factory in July 2025, a significant milestone in its entry into India. The Thoothukudi factory, which was set up at a price of $500 million, will be churning out VF7 and VF6 models as Completely Knocked Down (unassembled) kits, with bookings having been opened in June.
