VinFast Ignites India’s EV Scene: Pre-Bookings Open for VF 6 and VF 7 SUVs

Vietnamese EV giant VinFast has officially opened pre-bookings for its premium electric SUVs—VF 6 and VF 7—across India starting July 15, 2025. Following a successful showcase at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the company is now accelerating its entry into the Indian market with a robust retail and service strategy.

 

Key Highlights:

 

- Customers can reserve either model via VinFast showrooms or the official website with a refundable booking fee of INR 21,000.

- Deliveries will begin post the August launch, following the inauguration of VinFast’s Thoothukudi plant in Tamil Nadu.

- The VF 6 and VF 7 will be locally assembled, reinforcing VinFast’s commitment to India as a strategic EV hub.

 

Model Overview:

- VF 6: A compact, family-friendly SUV with Level 2 ADAS, panoramic roof, wireless charging, and a 59.6 kWh battery offering up to 440 km range.

- VF 7: A mid-size premium SUV featuring dual motor options, 75.3 kWh battery, over 450 km range, and advanced connected car tech.

 

Infrastructure & Partnerships:

- VinFast has partnered with 13 dealer groups to establish 32 dealerships across 27 cities.

- Collaborations with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure will support nationwide charging and after-sales services.

- BatX Energies will handle battery recycling and rare metal recovery, promoting circular sustainability.

 

Market Impact:

- VF 6 will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric and MG Windsor EV Pro.

- VF 7 targets the premium segment, rivaling BYD Atto 3 and Mahindra XUV 9e.
