Lucknow’s administration has initiated strict fire-safety inspections across malls, restaurants, nightclubs, and bars following the tragic fire at a nightclub in Goa that claimed 25 lives. The move comes as part of a broader campaign to enforce compliance with fire safety regulations and ensure valid Fire NOCs (No Objection Certificates) are in place at all establishments.​

Chief Fire Officer Ankush Mittal stated that teams are checking fire safety systems, emergency exits, documentation, bar licenses, LPG usage, and overall preparedness. Notices will be issued to any establishments found violating safety norms, and strict action will be taken if deficiencies are not rectified.​
