NTPC Adds Fresh 34.4 MW Solar Charge To Ramagundam Green Hub

India’s largest power generator has been steadily scaling up its non-fossil capacity through large solar parks co-located with existing thermal stations. Bringing another slice of Ramagundam Solar PV into commercial operation signals that construction and grid integration milestones are tracking broadly to plan.

The declaration of commercial operation means the 34.4 MW block has completed all commissioning tests and is now eligible for full tariff recovery under the applicable power purchase agreements. For NTPC, each incremental solar megawatt at Ramagundam helps utilise existing transmission infrastructure while greening its generation mix.
