Paytm Money Settles SEBI Case for ₹45.5 Lakh: Tech Glitch Violations Resolved

Paytm Money, the brokerage arm of One97 Communications, has settled allegations of violating SEBI's technical glitch framework by paying ₹45.5 lakh. The settlement, finalized on February 13, 2025, addresses multiple compliance issues, including failure to set permissible alert limits, inadequate documentation of peak loads, and non-compliance with disaster recovery drill requirements. This resolution comes after Paytm Money filed a settlement application in September 2024, without admitting or denying the allegations. The case highlights SEBI's ongoing efforts to enforce stringent technical compliance standards in the financial services sector, ensuring robust systems and investor protection.
