PCMC Approves ₹9,675.27 Crore Budget for 2025-26 with Focus on Infrastructure

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner Shekhar Singh has tabled a ₹9,675.27 crore budget for FY 2025-26, out of which the estimated expenditure is ₹6,256.39 crore. The budget is concentrated on infrastructure development (₹1,962.72 crore), affordable housing (₹1,898 crore), and public transport (₹417 crore). The major projects include water supply schemes, drainage system upgradation, fire safety infrastructure development, climate action plan, and river rejuvenation work. The PCMC is also adopting cutting-edge digital technologies, such as drone-based imagery, to improve the efficiency of property tax collection. This integrated budget is concentrated on multiple aspects of urban development and sustainability in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area.
