Pedal Power: Minister Mandaviya Leads Delhi's Fitness Revolution

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya spearheaded the 'Fit India Sundays on Cycle' initiative in Delhi on February 23, 2025, the ninth week of the campaign. The activity, motivated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to fight obesity, had the presence of Olympic rower Arjun Lal Jat, industry associations FICCI and CII, and fitness companies. Mandaviya stressed the need for daily fitness routines and the positive effects of cycling on health and the environment. The campaign has escalated into a mass movement across the country, with over 1,200 places in India witnessing cycling enthusiasts. In Guwahati, Indian Medical Association doctors also joined the procession, with over 300 members cycling to carry out the fitness message.
