PM Modi Champions Linguistic Unity Amid Education Policy Debate

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the harmonious relationship between Indian languages at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi. Amid ongoing debates over the National Education Policy, Modi stated, "There has never been any animosity among Indian languages. Languages have always influenced and enriched each other." He urged citizens to embrace and enrich all languages, highlighting the government's efforts to promote education in major languages, including Marathi. Modi's remarks come as Tamil Nadu opposes the alleged imposition of Hindi through the NEP. The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of distancing from misconceptions that create linguistic divisions, advocating for a unified approach to India's diverse linguistic heritage.
