Pollution Takes a Backseat! Delhi Air at Its Cleanest in Months

Delhi witnessed its freshest air since September 2024 due to the dispersal of pollutants by strong winds. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the city dramatically improved, giving a temporary respite from normal pollution. It is due to the synergy between rain and wind, which removed and dispersed pollutants effectively. Cities in the nearby areas also indicated improved air quality, which suggests the beneficial influence of meteorological conditions on the air quality in the area. This temporary respite is good news for residents, although pollution levels tend to increase again with the changing seasons.
