President Murmu Honours 20 Young Achievers With Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2025

The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, India’s highest civilian honour for children, was presented by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony in New Delhi. The award celebrates outstanding achievements by children aged 5 to 18 across diverse fields, reinforcing the importance of encouraging young minds to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to the nation.  

Key highlights from the announcement include 

• A total of 20 children were honoured in 2025 for achievements in innovation, scholastic excellence, sports, arts, culture, social service, and bravery.

• Each awardee received a medal, a certificate, and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

• The Ministry of Women and Child Development coordinated the selection process, ensuring transparency and inclusivity.  
• Awardees will also interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who traditionally meets the winners to encourage them further.
