Railway Safety Revolution: Kernex Microsystems Secures ₹325 Crore Kavach Contract, Stocks Soar

Shares of Kernex Microsystems India Ltd jumped 5% today after the company informed that it has won a significant contract. South Eastern Railways has awarded the KERNEX-MRT consortium a ₹325.33 crore order to install the state-of-the-art Kavach safety system on 688 km of track in the Kharagpur and Chakradharpur divisions. This state-of-the-art train collision avoidance system will transform railway safety by avoiding signal trespasses, overspeeds, and collisions. The project, to be done in 1,000 days, is a quantum step in the modernization of India's railway network. Investors greeted it warmly with the stock of Kernex rising to the upper circuit at ₹889.70 on the NSE, with the increasing confidence in the company's future and the role of rail safety technology in the limelight.
