Rashtra Prerna Sthal: A Rs.230-Crore Legacy Of Inspiration Unveiled In Lucknow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Rs.230-crore Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow, coinciding with the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The memorial, spread across 65 acres along the Gomti River embankment, has been envisioned as a landmark national complex celebrating leadership, inspiration, and cultural consciousness.

• The memorial is shaped like a lotus, symbolizing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s election emblem, and houses three towering bronze statues of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
• A two-storey museum covering 6,300 square meters has been developed within the complex. It features Vajpayee’s poems and speeches, nationalist quotes by Mookerjee and Upadhyay, and audio-visual presentations showcasing their contributions to nation-building.
