RBI Unveils 2025-26 Monetary Policy Committee Meeting Schedule

The Reserve Bank of India has announced the schedule for its Monetary Policy Committee meetings for the fiscal year 2025-26. The first meeting is set for April 7-9, 2025, with subsequent meetings planned for June 4-6, August 5-7, September 29-October 1, December 3-5, and February 4-6, 2026. This marks the first major announcement under RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra, who presided over his debut MPC meeting in February, where the repo rate was cut by 25 basis points to 6.25%. The MPC maintained a 'Neutral' stance, projecting CPI inflation at 4.2% and GDP growth at 6.7% for FY26.
