RBI Variable Rate Reverse Repo Auctions Fall Short of Targets
The Reserve Bank of India received lower-than-notified bids in its September 1, 2026 variable rate reverse repo auctions. For the 1-day tenor, banks offered 2,59,846 crore rupees against a 4,00,000 crore rupee target at a 5.24 percent cut-off rate, while the 7-day tenor saw 1,14,320 crore rupees accepted.
