Rekha Gupta Named As Next Delhi CM, Oath Ceremony To Take Place On Feb 20

Rekha Gupta, BJP MLA from Shalimar Bagh, has been appointed as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. The announcement came after the BJP legislature party meeting held on Wednesday evening. Gupta, who defeated AAP's Bandna Kumari by over 29,000 votes in the recent Assembly polls, will be the fourth woman to hold the position of Delhi CM. The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, at Ramlila Maidan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other dignitaries are expected to attend the event. This marks BJP's return to power in Delhi after a 27-year absence, following their victory in the February 5 Assembly elections.
