Rinshul Chandra Resigns as Zomato COO to Chase New Horizons

In a major leadership change, Rinshul Chandra, Chief Operating Officer of Zomato's Food Delivery business, has resigned effective April 5, 2025. The news was announced in a regulatory filing by Eternal Limited, the parent company of Zomato. Chandra, an IIT alumnus who joined Zomato in 2018 and became COO in 2023, mentioned his wish to "pursue new opportunities and passions" as per his changing aspirations.

The company has been through a changing times in recent periods after being newly rebranded as Eternal Limited. Zomato has weathered challenges that involve a downtrend in its fundamental food delivery business and redundancy of 600 customer support staff due to incorporating artificial intelligence into operations. Amidst these difficulties, the brand is still on top of the food-tech ecosystem in India.
