Rohit Sharma Smashes ODI Record: Surpasses Chris Gayle in Six-Hitting Prowess

Indian captain Rohit Sharma etched his name in cricket history during the second ODI against England in Cuttack. With a trademark flick for six off Gus Atkinson, Sharma surpassed Chris Gayle to become the second-highest six-hitter in ODI cricket. The explosive opener now boasts 338 sixes in just 267 matches, compared to Gayle's 331 in 301 games. Sharma's blistering 119 off 90 balls, including multiple maximums, showcased his destructive batting prowess and cemented his status as one of cricket's most prolific six-hitters.
