Royal Challengers Bangalore Posts 169/8 as Gujarat Titans Bowlers Keep Batters in Check

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) managed to post a competitive total of 169/8 in their 20 overs, despite struggling against Rajasthan’s disciplined bowling attack. After being put into bat, RCB lost Virat Kohli early for just 7 runs, followed by Devdutt Padikkal (4), leaving them at 13/2. Philip Salt provided some resistance with a 13-ball 14 before falling to Mohammed Siraj.

Jitesh Sharma's aggressive 33 off 21 balls and Tim David’s blistering 32 off 18 helped RCB recover from a shaky position. However, Rajasthan's bowlers kept striking at regular intervals, with Siraj (3/19) leading the charge. R Sai Kishore bagged two wickets, while Arshad Khan, Ishant Sharma and Prasidh Krishna contributed with crucial breakthroughs.

Despite late fireworks from David, RCB couldn’t fully capitalize in the death overs. With 170 needed for victory, Rajasthan will look to their in-form batters to chase down the target, while RCB’s bowlers aim to defend their total.
