Safeguarding the Future: Ganderbal Hosts Legal Awareness Session for Children

On February 28, 2025, Legal Services Unit for Children, under District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal, held a legal awareness program at Town Hall Ganderbal with the assistance of the Social Welfare Department, Child Welfare Committee, and District Child Protection Office. The event aimed at creating awareness among children, including children with disabilities, transgender children, and those rescued from trafficking, child marriage, and abuse, with regard to their legal rights and protection. Shubana, Chairperson of CWC Ganderbal, emphasized the importance of making children aware of mechanisms to protect their rights against exploitation and abuse. It also sought to promote social inclusion for vulnerable children subjected to exploitation.
