Second Batch of U.S. Deportees to Reach Amritsar Tonight, Third Plane Expected Sunday

A U.S. military aircraft carrying 119 deported Indian nationals is set to land in Amritsar tonight around 10 PM. This marks the second batch of deportees following the arrival of 104 Indians on February 5. The deportees include 67 from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, and others from various states. Unlike the first group, these deportees are not expected to be in chains. A third plane is scheduled to arrive on Sunday. The deportations are part of the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration and will continue bi-weekly. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has criticized the Centre's decision to land the planes in Amritsar, calling it a conspiracy to defame Punjab.
