Senco Gold Clarifies Burglary At Franchisee Store, Says No Financial Hit To Company

The jewellery retailer informed exchanges that the franchisee has already filed an FIR with local police and notified the insurance company, while confirming that all employees at the showroom are safe and unharmed. Senco Gold emphasised that it remains committed to supporting the franchisee through the aftermath of the incident.

According to the company’s exchange filing, the burglary occurred at the Dhuliyan franchisee showroom on 14 May 2026 and was promptly reported to law enforcement authorities. The company underlined that there were no injuries or harm to staff, and necessary insurance procedures have been initiated by the franchisee.  

Business Model And Financial Exposure 

Senco Gold highlighted that the Dhuliyan outlet operates under a Franchisee Owned and Franchisee Operated (FOFO) arrangement, where all inventory is owned and recorded in the books of the franchisee. As a result, there is no loss of inventory or direct financial impact on Senco Gold Limited, though the company will extend comprehensive support to the partner.
