Shillong's JN Stadium to Host India's AFC Asian Cup Qualifier Against Bangladesh

Shillong's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will make history by hosting two crucial international football matches for India in March 2025. The Blue Tigers will face Maldives in a friendly on March 19, followed by their AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifier against Bangladesh on March 25. Both matches kick off at 7 PM IST. This marks the stadium's debut for senior men's internationals after recent refurbishment. India, placed in Group C with Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bangladesh, aims to top the group in the home-and-away format running until March 2026. The 15,100-capacity arena previously hosted domestic tournaments like ISL and Durand Cup.
