Siddhivinayak Temple Imposes Strict Dress Code: Modesty Mandatory at Mumbai's Iconic Shrine

Mumbai's revered Siddhivinayak Temple has banned revealing and torn clothing under its new dress code. Starting next week, the Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust declared that devotees will be required to wear decent clothing, preferably Indian attire. Anyone dressed in revealing or inappropriate clothes will not be allowed in. The trust has deemed torn jeans, skirts, and revealing outfits "unseemly and out of sync with Indian culture and ethos." The decision was made after observations and discussions among the trustees to preserve the sanctity of the temple. The temple also launched eco-friendly paper pouches for prasad distribution in line with the plastic-free policy of Maharashtra.
