Singapore Airlines and Air India Forge Stronger Alliance, Expanding Global Reach

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Air India are intensifying their strategic partnership, following the completion of the Air India-Vistara merger in November 2024. The alliance now offers expanded codeshare routes, with 51 new destinations added from October 2024. This collaboration enhances travel options between Singapore and India, and beyond. SIA's recent financial results show a significant boost from the merger, with a one-off S$1.10 billion gain contributing to a net profit of S$1.63 billion in Q3. The partnership aims to capitalize on growing travel demand, with both airlines adjusting networks and capacity to navigate the competitive landscape.
