Sky-High Prices? Not Any More! : UDAN Yatri Café Touches Down in Chennai

Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu opened the UDAN Yatri Café at Chennai Airport, providing affordable food to passengers. Situated in the pre-check section of the T1 domestic terminal, the café is offering refreshments at very affordable prices: tea and water bottles for Rs 10, coffee for Rs 20, and snacks such as samosas and sweets for Rs 20. The move, the second UDAN Yatri Café after Kolkata's first, is to meet grievances regarding airports' expensive food. The idea is being replicated across the country, and similar cafés are to be opened at other major airports like Delhi. The initiative is part of the government's vision of making air travel affordable and accessible to everyone.
