Flagship Scheme for Transformation:

The Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana is the flagship of the new farm agenda. Aiming at 100 low-productivity districts, the scheme will cover 1.7 crore farmers by offering direct cash transfers, enhancing credit availability, and incorporating technology for transparent benefit delivery. The emphasis is on diversification of crops, irrigation upgradation, and construction of post-harvest storage to minimize wastage and increase incomes.

Awareness and Technology Drive

From May 29, the government will initiate the "Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan," a 15-day countrywide campaign to cover 1–1.5 crore farmers. More than 2,000 teams of officials and scientists will train farmers on climate-resilient seeds, new technology, and best practices to increase Kharif production and productivity in 700 districts.

New Missions for Key Crops

Special missions for pulses, cotton, high-yielding seeds, and fruits/vegetables have been undertaken, with major outlays to fuel self-sufficiency, facilitate market linkages, and deliver remunerative prices to farmers.

Rural Prosperity & Skilling:

The Rural Prosperity and Resilience Programme will lay emphasis on skilling, entrepreneurship development, and generating new opportunities for rural youth, women, and landless families so that migration becomes an option, not an imperative.

Through these far-reaching measures, the government will be boosting the agriculture sector, assuring a new generation of prosperity, innovation, and resilience for Indian farmers.
