Sri Lanka and UAE Forge Stronger Economic Partnership During Dissanayake's Visit

During President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's recent visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the World Government Summit 2025, Sri Lanka and the UAE signed an agreement to strengthen economic ties. The agreement aims to facilitate and bolster foreign investments between the two nations by ensuring investor rights protection, promoting economic cooperation, and establishing comprehensive investment protection mechanisms and dispute resolution frameworks. This partnership is expected to create new investment opportunities in Sri Lanka and enhance bilateral trade relations.
