State Government Champions Ancient Wisdom: Vedic Maths Centre of Excellence to Rise in Nagpur

Making a giant leap in merging ancient wisdom with contemporary education, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis declared that a Centre of Excellence for Vedic Mathematics will be set up in the city. Addressing a function at Bhartiya Krishna Vidya Vihar (BKVV) school, Fadnavis stated that India's ancient intellectual legacy must be made popular with the help of Vedic Mathematics.

 

The state government will provide complete support to the inauguration of the center which will include Vedic Maths as a subject of study for Maharashtra students. The project will be in line with the spread of integrating ancient knowledge into modern education systems with a view to increasing appreciation of India's scientific heritage. The center will also work towards simplifying complex mathematical concepts through the 16 sutras and 13 sub-sutras created by Shankaracharya Bharati Krishna Tirtha Maharaj.

 

The inauguration took place under the chairmanship of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and other invitees. The center will be helpful to the students who are appearing in competitive exams and will help them to improve their mathematics skills.
