Students Get Relief As CBSE Extends Deadline For Scanned Answer Sheet Requests Amid Glitches

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has responded to widespread complaints from students and parents about technical issues on its post-result portal. Problems included payment failures, inaccessible webpages, and delays in uploading scanned copies, prompting the board to extend the deadline for applications.

Reason For Extension

CBSE initially set the deadline for May 24, 2026, but extended it to May 25, 2026 (midnight) after continued glitches. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also sought a detailed report from CBSE and directed IIT Madras experts to assist in stabilising the system. 

Importance Of Scanned Copies

Scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets are essential for students who wish to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation. Reviewing these copies allows candidates to identify potential errors in marking and make informed decisions about further applications.

Technical And Financial Relief

CBSE confirmed that refunds will be issued to students who faced incorrect fee deductions during the application process. The board assured that excess amounts will be refunded to the same payment method used.

Students must apply through the official CBSE portal before the revised deadline. Once scanned copies are made available, the re-evaluation portal will remain open for at least two days, ensuring adequate time for further applications.
