Swiggy has announced the winners of the third edition of the Swiggy Restaurant Awards 2026, making it the biggest edition yet. With over 1.3 crore votes from 6.43 lakh unique users across 160+ cities and 110 categories, the awards recognised 15,000 restaurants for excellence in food delivery and dineout experiences.

The Swiggy Restaurant Awards have become India’s largest food recognition platform, celebrating restaurants that define the country’s diverse culinary culture. The 2026 edition saw record-breaking participation, expanded categories, and deeper regional representation, highlighting both iconic brands and emerging local favourites.

This year’s awards recorded 1.3 crore+ votes, marking a 2.2x increase over last year. Engagement was driven by 43.8 lakh users sharing voting links, while 25,000 new users joined Swiggy during the campaign. The scale of participation underscores India’s growing passion for food discovery and recognition.

Popular Categories

Biryani emerged as the most popular category with 7.02 lakh votes, followed by pizza, North Indian, burgers, and Chinese. Regional depth was strengthened with categories like Naati Style Biryani, Rayalaseema cuisine, South Indian tiffins, and Marathi food, making the awards more locally relevant than ever.
