Tara Chand Vision Jammu and Kashmir's Statehood At The Earliest

Former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand has again demanded the early revival of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, stressing that it is a basic right of its people. This is a demand that comes after the state was turned into a Union Territory after the repeal of Article 370 in 2019. Chand pointed out that J&K's special status was a heritage left by its Dogra rulers and was suddenly withdrawn, leaving citizens feeling cheated by the failure of government promises. He also criticized present-day industrial policies, saying they work in favor of outsiders over local youth. Chand urged the government to honor its commitments, especially about job and land rights, so that the problems of the J&K people are reduced.
