Tata Capital's Game-Changing IPO: ₹15,040 Crore Offering Shakes Financial Markets

Tata Capital Limited has unveiled plans for a monumental IPO, aiming to raise ₹15,040 crore through a fresh issue of 230 million shares and an offer for sale by existing shareholders. This strategic move, driven by RBI regulations for upper-layer NBFCs, positions Tata Capital for significant growth. With FY 2023-24 revenue up 34% to ₹18,178 crore and a loan book of ₹1,76,536 crore, the company's market impact is already evident. Unlisted shares have surged from ₹450 to around ₹900, valuing Tata Capital at approximately ₹3.5 trillion.
