Tata's Trent Ltd. Makes Bold Move: Acquires TSSL in ₹1.66 Billion Deal

Trent Ltd., part of the Tata Group, has announced a significant deal involving Booker India, which will acquire 100% equity of TSSL from THPL. This strategic move is valued at approximately ₹1.66 billion. Trent previously acquired a 51% stake in Booker India in a cash deal worth ₹22 crore, expanding its retail footprint by adding six stores. This new acquisition underscores Trent's commitment to strengthening its retail presence across India. Trent's stock has seen substantial growth, recently included in the NSE Nifty 50 index, reflecting investor confidence in its expansion plans.
