Techno Electric & RailTel Join Forces for Landmark Data Centre Revolution

Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited (TEECL) has clinched a significant contract from RailTel Corporation of India, marking a major leap in India’s digital infrastructure landscape. Under this new partnership, TEECL will serve as the Managed Service Data Centre Partner for RailTel, tasked with developing a state-of-the-art 10MW Data Centre in Noida. The project will be executed in phases on RailTel’s land and is structured on a revenue-sharing model, ensuring both entities benefit from the data centre’s long-term operations.

 

The contract, awarded through a competitive open tender process, spans an impressive 30 years, with provisions for further extension by mutual agreement. RailTel will receive a fixed percentage of revenue generated from the data centre, providing a steady stream of non-core income and supporting its diversification into digital services. This initiative aligns with RailTel’s strategy to leverage its vast optic fibre network and infrastructure to meet the surging demand for secure, high-capacity digital solutions across India.

 

The Noida Data Centre is expected to become a cornerstone of India’s digital ecosystem, supporting applications that require low latency and high bandwidth, such as AI, IoT, content delivery, and cloud gaming. TEECL’s expertise in engineering and project execution, combined with RailTel’s extensive network, positions this partnership as a key driver for digital empowerment and innovation nationwide.
