Tesla Introduces Six-Seater Model Y L With Extended Cabin Space In India

Tesla has expanded its India portfolio with the launch of the Model Y L, a long-wheelbase variant designed to combine luxury, performance, and practicality. Positioned between the Standard RWD and Long Range RWD versions, the Model Y L aims to capture family-oriented EV buyers.

Features And Specifications

The Model Y L comes with a dual-motor AWD system powered by an 88 kWh battery pack, delivering a range of 681 km and acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 5 seconds. Comfort features include ventilated captain seats in the second row, heated seating, pillar-mounted AC vents, and a spacious third row. Technology highlights include a 16-inch infotainment touchscreen, adaptive suspension, acoustic glass, and an 18-speaker audio system. Cargo capacity extends up to 2,539 litres.

Booking And Availability

Bookings are open on Tesla’s official website, with public viewing at showrooms in Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram from April 23, 2026. Deliveries are scheduled to start in June 2026.

Charging And Service Network

Tesla currently operates five Supercharger stations in India, with plans to expand to seven more across major highways. Service centres are active in Mumbai, Gurugram, Delhi, and Pune, with expansion planned in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
