Thailand's Tourism Test: Can 70,000 Visitors in March Meet the Mark?

Thailand has received more than 70,000 visitors in March to date, but reaching the monthly target is still a challenge. In spite of this encouraging beginning, fears of not meeting anticipated targets continue. Thailand's tourism industry is working on strategic plans to bring in more tourists, capitalizing on its success in 2024 when it received more than 35 million tourists. The nation is marketing "must-see" cities and off-the-beaten-path destinations as part of its "Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year" promotion for 2025. Initiatives to improve travel experience and ease are in progress to make a strong end to the month.
