During his early days, Amitabh Bachchan was struggling and took on a minor role as an extra in a film produced by Ismail Merchant. Shashi Kapoor, upon seeing Amitabh in the crowd, advised him against doing "bit parts," believing he was destined for greater things. He then spoke to the director to delete those scenes. This incident highlights the strong bond and mutual respect between the two actors, who went on to star together in numerous iconic films like 'Deewar' and 'Kabhi Kabhie'.
