The Spotlight Shines Bright: 'All We Imagine as Light' Takes Top Honors

Payal Kapadia's moving drama "All We Imagine as Light" has bagged the Best Film award at the 18th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong. It is a winning end to the film's festival run, which started with a Grand Prix at Cannes last year. Best Director went to Yoshida Daihachi for "Teki Cometh," while Sean Lau as Best Actor took home the honors for "Papa." Best Actress went to Shahana Goswami for "Santosh," while Sandhya Suri won the Best New Director award for the same film. The awards spanned 12 films, thus showing the depth and quality in Asian cinema. It runs ahead of the Hong Kong Filmart and International Film Festival, further honoring the area's cinematic successes.
