The Subhadra Effect: How Odisha's Scheme is Transforming Women's Lives

The Subhadra Yojana, a pioneering scheme of the Odisha government, has been able to cover more than 1 crore women beneficiaries. The scheme aims to empower economically backward women by giving them financial support. Every eligible woman is given ₹50,000 in five years, with ₹10,000 being given every year. The scheme aims at women between the ages of 21 and 60 who are not government servants or income tax payers.
