The World Economic Forum's Global Retail Investor Outlook 2024 has identified a seismic change in investing demographics, as 30% of Gen Z began to invest during early adulthood versus 6% of Baby Boomers. This digital-natives generation is adopting AI-backed financial advice, as 41% of Gen Z and Millennials are receptive to AI managing investments. Inexplicably, cryptocurrencies are felt to be better understood than familiar investments such as stocks and ETFs. The survey of 13,000 consumers in 13 nations brings out the requirement for personalized financial products, enhanced education, and new platforms to address this new generation of young investors driving the future of retail investing.
