Toyota Buyers Face Extended Waits Amid Hybrid Boom

Toyota buyers are experiencing lengthy delays in receiving their vehicles due to a surge in demand for hybrid models. The company's suppliers are struggling to meet the increased demand, leading to parts shortages and extended wait times. In Europe, customers are waiting up to 70 days for new hybrids, while in Japan, waits can range from two to five months. Despite these challenges, Toyota's commitment to hybrid technology remains strong, with global hybrid sales nearly tripling over the past five years.
