Union Budget 2025: Jammu & Kashmir Secures Rs 41,000 Crore for Development Amidst Economic Challenges

The Union Budget 2025-26 has earmarked Rs 41,000.07 crore for Jammu & Kashmir, maintaining the previous year's allocation level. This funding aims to bridge the region's resource gap, with Rs 40,619.30 crore designated as central assistance. Additionally, Rs 279 crore is allocated for the Union Territory Disaster Response Fund and Rs 101.77 crore for infrastructure project support. Despite no increase in central assistance, this budget reflects ongoing financial commitment to the region's development needs.
