Recent statements from industry leaders highlight the urgent need for government intervention, including an extension of the interest equalization scheme for manufacturers, which lapsed at the end of 2024. This scheme is crucial for enhancing competitiveness among exporters, particularly MSMEs. The upcoming Union Budget is anticipated to introduce measures aimed at boosting value-added exports and improving access to credit for small firms.
