We Released 22 Indian Fishermen": PCB Chief Before India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy Clash

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief made the declaration regarding the release of 22 Indian fishermen from the Malir Jail in Karachi as a goodwill gesture prior to the India-Pakistan match at the Champions Trophy. The Indian fishermen who had been held over charges of intrusion into nautical borders are set to make a return trip home. The Edhi Foundation has organized transport and given gifts and money to the released fishermen. But there are still worries regarding the fate of fishermen from both nations who unknowingly cross the border. One Indian fisherman is said to have died in a Karachi jail on January 23, having served his term. In the last two years, 8 Indian fishermen have died in the custody of Pakistan, while 180 are waiting to be released after serving their terms.
